Okay. I only took about a week off this time. Strange.
Anyway: I’ve got a few updates now.
The black shirts I may have mentioned last week are now online. If I didn’t mention them, the importance is that CP, through which I generally prefer to outsource everything in Wasted, have caught up to a few lesser places—SpreadShirt.com, 99Dogs.com, zazzle.com, et cetera—and worked out how to print white [and other colours] onto black [and other dark] shirts. Which doesn’t sound like much of a trick, except that this isn’t silkscreening; it’s printing directly from an industrial printer onto the fabric.
The results of that are actually pretty good. And now, combined with CP’s backend and policies, the results are better still.
So, the black shirts are here. Or, more accurately, they’re at wastedinc.com.
Since this happened a little sooner than I’d expected, the black shirts are mostly limited to Black Shirt Required so far—that’s the logical evolution of Black Text Required, which was a sort of bugfix for about four years until CP got black shirts to start happening.
I’m starting the black shirts off at US$19.99 for the rest of the year. Then they’ll go up to $24.99 so I can kinda get paid for all this. Also, over the next couple of weeks—until 6th December—shipping’s free, on orders over fifty bucks, up to fifteen bucks’ worth of shipping. And, no, that doesn’t fully make sense. But it probably works. Hit wastedinc.com, buy enough stuff to get free shipping, then stop before the shipping stops being free. I didn’t set all this up.
In other news…here’s the backstory. Hunter’s site, at hunter.gremlin.net [coffeechick.com and EvilCoffeechick.com both point toward that] got spamtrolled by some dangerously illiterate terrorists the other day. That’s a funny story on its own; go look at it. But, it reminded me that these blogues allow for comments in general, which reminded me to look at that function in the backend, which informed me that I had comments waiting to be approved.
So, I’ve approved them. Also, I’ve removed the need to approve them. From now on, you can just post replies here as though you were posting replies on the board. Meaning that, if you do something stupid, I can delete the post and ban you. Though I probably won’t have to do that too often.
Nuts. I think there was more news, maybe. But then Hunter came into my office and did that eerie insane grin thing at me. Meaning that she probably wants something. Food or sex or maybe walkies. Never really know. But writing anything with this Cheshire Grin going on behind me…I’m not that good anymore.
More later….
