NationalPrevaricator.com is a couple of different things. Most obviously, it's a website which hasn't been evidently updated since October. But that's about to change.
It's also an online tabloid. And that's where the dichotomy begins.
Not unlike GodHatesBrains.com, it's a parody. In reality. However, since reality includes a huge number of morons, the NP, like GHB, is a parody which dumb people tend to assume is meant to be real.
Among idiots, there are those who will assume that, while the NP is meant to be a real publication, the articles are still fictional. There are also those idiots who are so dumb that other idiots get to call them idiots; those people will assume that, beyond the NP being real, the articles are real as well.
So: the National Prevaricator is, in reality, a parody of everything from the National Enquirer to the Weekly World News. And its articles are approximately as realistic as any found in what we're assuming to be 'real tabloids'.
In any case, NationalPrevaricator.com will be utterly updated on 1st April. Then we'll see who assumes what about it.
And, of course, we're accepting submissions from anyone who wants to write for it. We're guessing that, once the first issue is online, people will have a pretty good idea of what passes as an NP article....
