Seriously though, one of the scare appeals to SH2 was its grainy, High 8 look to it. While that worked well for the game (and for Fatal Frame; as long as we're on the subject), I don't think that would translate very well either. Movie goers seem to be less interested in revolutionising genres than they use to be. I blame the shrunken attention spans, and obsessions with eye candy. Then again, if they advertised for it like they did for Blair Witch...
Or at least, that's what the Blair Witch people would have had you think.
: As for the future of horrorgames: I've got a certain interest in that right now; I've been looking into modern videogame production [the last game I bothered to write ran on a Commodore64] lately; I'm working out the levels for the Subheroes game here.
I've got a opening title for the PC version: Dumbed down for the Windoze environment.
Interesting, are you just looking at it as a general PC game, or have you thought of bringing it to any of the home consoles?
