Angry atheists turn to religion about 60% of the time. The other 40% of the time, they realize a real reason to not be religious.
Of course, the "angry" start would only account for about half of atheists.

If I were to believe in god, I would believe in god BECAUSE there is evil. I would never believe in a god so illogical as to not create evil as a counterbalance for good. It would show lack of foresight and thereby weakness.

Isaiah 45:7
"I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things."

Of course, the idea of a diety in the form that theists explain it is entirely illogical, at best. Which is why I and most of my collegues choose to be atheist. Not everyone is as stupid as C.S. Lewis.

You are far too focused on the concept of "meaning" as if it's something that exists beyond the brain of a human being. "meaning" is not necessary for life, and have never seen anyone explain to me as to why it must be.
I am not 'because'. I just 'am'. And life is all the merrier and worthwhile.
