The shorthand: the script is set up to handle various extra functions, like banning IPs and disallowing certain words and phrases, and other stuff.

There's the further option of turning the flags on and off; they're all set to On.

There's the yet further option of having the textfiles in the places where the script thinks they are; more of those are set to Off. Mostly because I keep forgetting to either turn off the flags, to actually put the textfiles where the server can find them.

So: that's the issue. The script works fine on its own; it's just not quite encountering a couple of meaningless textfiles.
