TO: Anyone with any control over the flier or the site it advertises. I'm a student at Oklahoma City University. I don't usually have much time to fret over matter on the Internet; so, when I joined your StreetTeam, I just printed up the flier as it was. Submitting it for administrations approval, (so as I could post it,) I got a bad reaction from the administrator - who, first of all, didn't approve of the shown ad; but, when she went ahead and briefly browsed the site, said, (in so-many words,) "Face of Satan . com!?! God Hates Brains . com!?! Who's going to want to go here???" So I have a few suggestions - the first few regard the flier directly. We are living in a society of "instant-gratification." Notably, we don't need "instant-gratification;" but, as all the other ads promise that, the flier should use it to pull people to the place where they should learn that they need it. (Specifically, the headline ought to be less "insulting" and more "encouraging;" people should be addressed as "people," [or something in the neutral-to- positive range,] instead of "maggots;" and, for better gratification, those who take time to read the flier should be motivated to receive something more specific than "cool stuff.") The next suggestions are for the site itself - specifically, the front page. Make the titles and title-graphics for each section more inviting, like The Bible; though The Bible may, in your eyes, be wrong - it has worked. And, in it, women are raped, prophets are murdered and slaughtered, and many massacre-filled wars are fought; but they do not call it "the Big Book of Bloody Butt-mashing," because no one would read it then. They call it "The Bible," with emphasis on "The," because it
And:
I am an idiot. idiot idiot idiot. God, you know, does not hate. (Well, he does, but it's not the way There's many things I could say about this, if I weren't such an IDIOT IDIOT IDIOT
you hate -- if it's anything, it's just a non-positive feeling, like
raindrops on pavement, like waking in a puddle of green.) What's
more, even in your collection-of-myth, The Bible, the intention
relevant to "brains" is stated in the second chapter; in the
statement that God made man like Him. Not 'God made man *for* him,'
though I'm sure that's how He'd like us to be - (if *I* made any
beings like myself, I'd sure want them to be for me!)
idiot.
If that's any indication.
