A matter of some controversy

Well, there may be some people out there who are wondering how I could be posting this. Others may be wondering why I'm posting this. A larger number of people don't know who I am, and an even larger number don't use computers, and a mind bogglingly larger number of people, for whatever reason, haven't bothered to learn one of the European languages Alta-vista would be more than happy to translate, or have elected to use their time killing each other over oil, drugs, civil rights, which religous leader looked better stapled to a tree or burning at a stake, or other important matters. This comment is addressed only to the first category listed, and just so I am not being misleading, is nowhere near as important as the fashion statement made by a civil rights activist in Rome who elected to not wear shoes with a crown of thorns before memorial day in the afternoon.
Now that I've lost most of you. There has been a nasty rumor going around that I've already entered in a Walt-Disnified version of Auschwitz known coloquially as boot camp. This rumor was particularly nasty, as it was started by yours truly. This rumor has served it's purpose, is useless now, and will be discarded. Like all great legends, this rumor had a bit of truth behind it. However, unlike a great legend, there are no well muscled men of ambigous sexual preference slaying stop-motion animated creatures with multiple heads.
I am here, in Denver, untill December. I chose this date not to coincide with either the Aboriginal Anglican custom of winter solstice which became the birthdate of such popular religous figures as Yeshua, Mithras, and Sissy Spacek (out of convenience in the first two examples), or with my own birthday or that of Ted Dansen (I'll let you figure that one out), but for a higher pay grade, and to give myself more time to get gainfully employed, and to possibly not be required to go in to the military at all. As such, I will be lurking and proceeding to type lengthy, boring messageboard posts for several months to come.
Now for my bit of deception. As most everyone doesn't know, life in Colorado has gotten messy. To the point, one of my close friends, who goes by the name of Charon, is going to become homeless shortly. He is also going through a fit of depression, and is rarely ever leaving his house; he has made little effort to get himself employed, or even to walk up a flight of stairs, in months. Rather than offer false hope, and listen to plans involving him not bettering his situation, I elected to inform him that I was leaving to boot camp at the first estimated time the Military would give to me, being the end of this month. I then got several dozen people "in" on this rumor, and proceeded to act as though it was reality. Since I've been able to continue on this long, I could have continued on longer. I won't. I have things I need to do online, and maintaining a "no web presence" would be ludicrous. I started the rumor, because I thought it would be more humane, since I cannot offer any form of help toward Charon or the people affected by his complete lack of connection to reality, if I simply excluded myself from the equation before being asked for help. I have no resources to help anyone (I've not been helping Gremlin and Hunter since April; they've been self-sufficient, and buying me cigarettes since then), and to be honest, I'm not sure it would do any good.
One last detail. Although I am not actively in the military as of yet, they are already giving me a taste of what's to come by monopolizing my free time; between the Delayed Entry games, school, and the house I'm living in being ancient and constantly in need of repair, my free time is extreeeeeeemely limited, in the physical world. Luckily enough for me, I can get online using other peoples computers, my school computer, library computers, and if I have a little bit of free time and mall security is being stupid, really nice store displays as well. So, for all intents and purposes, any contact with the outside world that does not come from largely pretentious people who run things like schools, navies, and mall security organizations, will have to be online for quite some time. This will also simplify a lot of other things for me; since my vehicle is in a state of legal limbo currently, I have to rely on other people and public transportation (Denver's RTD, or Reason to Drive) to get to places physically, and have had some difficulty in the past returning home.
So, what this all boils down to, is that several cats are now out of the bag, and everything is finally out in the open. Untill December, when everything starts to suck...
