To my knowledge--unless something has changed drastically in recent years--you're not even required to attend a graduation ceremony in order to receive your degree. By that point, it's already yours, whether you've been physically handed the papers or not.
     So any attempt to withhold or renounce your degree based on your behaviour at the ceremony is utterly illegal.
     All these letters requesting a formal public apology from Hollingsworth are falling dangerously short. The guy should be sacked, if not imprisoned.
