In a perfect world, the trial wouldn't be necessary at all. Legally speaking, the IRS are outlaws.

The question is whether the courts will acknowledge that. And, in Duhmerica, it's not whether you're breaking the law that counts, but whether you have a better lawyer.

Personally, I doubt the trial itself will make a lot of difference to the situation. But: if enough people are aware of it, it could make a difference simply because the Powers Wot Suck might fear an actual revolution if changes aren't made.

So some good could come of it. One way or the other....
