Oh fuck, this is just stoopid. Whether or not "Andy" beleves this is proof for...whatever...I have heard this idea before. This guy, Art Bell, has a radio show on some AM station...can't think of the call letters right now, but its on the same station as Rush Limbaugh (that ought to tell you something right now), and he discusses stuff like this all the time.
This is a great example of why I need to just start killing off people:
If the Earth were a globe, there certainly would be -- if we could imagine the thing, to be peopled all around-'antipodes:' 'people who,' says the dictionary, 'living exactly on the opposite side of the globe to ourselves, having their fee [sic] opposite to ours' - people who are HANGING DOWN, HEAD DOWNWARDS while we are standing head up? But since the theory allows to travel to those parts of the earth where the people are said to hand head downward, and still to fancy ourselves to be heads upwards, and our friends whom we have left behind us to be heads downwards, it follows that the WHOLE THING IS A MYTH - A DREAM - A DELUSION - and a snare, and, instead of there being any evidence at all in this direction to substantiate this popular theory, it is plain proof that the Earth is Not A Globe." And then: "Historical accounts and spoken history tell us the Land part may have been square, all in one mass at one time, then as now, the magnetic north being the Center. Vast cataclysmic events and shaking no doubt broke the land apart, divided the Land to be our present continents or islands as they exist today. One thing we know for sure about this world...the known inhabited world is Flat, Level, a Plain World."
So...they will buy plate tectonics and earthquakes, but not a spherical Earth? How do they explain that the left side of the map matches exactly to the right side of the map, and why California and Japan can feel the effects of the same movement, in opposing directions, if they don't touch? Or perhaps more importantly, just where is that famed "edge of the earth"? But wait, there's more:
ALL inventors have been anti-science. The Wright brothers said: "Science theory held us up for years. When we threw out all science, started from experiment and experience, then we invented the airplane." By the way, airplanes all fly level on this Plane earth
"We PROVE earth Flat by experiment, demonstrated and demonstrable. Earth Flat is a Fact, not a 'theory'!"
ahh, well at least its proveable. I just wish they would explain how, and who their dealer is.

Speak like Yoda, one must, to believe, in this garbage.
Hell, why we are on this train of thought, lets go find those people who believe in the firmament, and get them to explain to NASA why ISS is surrounded by goldfish.
"Also a Fact, today the Elite of Earth ALL live on the Flat World. Only the illogical, unreasoning "herd"...prefers the way-out occult weird theology of the old Greek superstitution earth a spinning ball!"
So, beause I realise it is physically impossible to fall off the earth, I am in the occult? Cool. Now all I need to do is pray to some inane deity and shag a couple of virgins. It's christians like this which lead me to believe that maybe, just maybe, the wiccans aren't so stupid...
wait....yeah they are. But that's imaterial.
"SPECIAL: FLAT EARTH MAP (as featured in Newsweek, 7/2/84) $6.00 postpaid; Membership, Certificate, and Map $20.00."
Ok, is there anyone that hasn't seen a flat map? just about every text book has them. Reminds me of the "genuine nickel engraving of Lincoln and Lincoln memorial, also engraved with date of issue and authenticity, and national motto. Cheap! only 5 bucks."
Incidently, I have come into more of these limited issue engravings, if anyone wants tobuy one from me. 5 bucks is perfectly reasonble, I think, just send me a SASE, and five dollars in cash, and I will mail it off to you. ;)
