Things like this always remind me of that whole Red-Menace thing from the cold war. Both sides accusing eachother of "Psychic experientation" and brainwashing, things out of the Captain America comic books. Intelligent people laughed it all off as being superstition and fancy, often how we look at conspiracy theorists and UFO abductees.
