I'll agree about gator skin wallets but it also makes very nice belts. Cochran(sp?) combat boots were made of spit shine shoe leather which is the damn near toughest leather for its thickness around. The newer Wellco boots are a semi-syntheic boot that is treated to be resistantto water and some chemicals. I perfer the wellco boots mostly for their comfort. And a python skin trench would look very nice but I'm saving my money for an aluminium chain mail trench.
