     If there's no such cassette, then she lied. If the story changes so that we weren't actually in the store, in front of the camera, at the time, then she lied. No matter what happens next, she lied.
     So: a managerial representative of BurgerThing, and, by extension, of Pepsi, lied. Misrepresented this corporation in an official capacity. In such a manner as to defame the reputations of both a professional novelist and journalist, and an American veteran crippled in the line of military duty.
     Which means, in the end, that Pepsi just made Nike look like Danny Fucking Thomas.
