Time is a major factor here. I haven't got enough of the stuff to begin with. And this isn't quite the right time for some of the stuff I'd do if I had the time to do it.
Books, of course, take a lot less time to write. For the most part, books don't rely on the sorts of people whom you have to catch in the right mood to actually do anything this year. Although, in cases, that's not entirely true. The BangBang thing comes to mind.
In that case, I'm still waiting on the various files and information required to write a complete, objective account. Unfortunately, I'm waiting on people in such bullshit organisations as the FBI. So that's probably on hold for a very long time.
Regarding Phobivore: the irony there is that I want to go over the whole book and update a few things [the world has changed a lot since 1995]; but the same people I can't really rely on to do other things also can't be relied upon to disappear long enough to let me write a book. It's a priority, though. One of a hundred or so....
