We've actually discussed this sort of thing before. As much fun as it is to suggest that there really is an EAC, the fact of the matter is that, if there were, the war would already be over.
     Just by the numbers, atheists in the US outnumber all but the two largest factions of christianity [catholics and baptists] in sheer numbers. If we actually worked as a group, we'd have a hell of a lot of power. But, since atheism is nothing more than the state of being without deital beliefs, we're not really assembled into any sort of doctrine. Being someone who doesn't pretend that deities exist is, in application, no different than being someone who doesn't play basketball. We're not really a group; we're the default.
     That theists would resort to telling us what a character in their favourite [only?] novel said about beliefs is a constant source of amusement. I can't see a big difference between biblequoters and the LARPer geeks who relate reality to any plotline in an XFiles episode.
