Verb: Bend (bent)
     1. Form a curve.
     2. Change direction.
     3. Cause to assume a crooked or angular form.
     4. Bend one's back forward from the waist on down.
     5. Turn from a straight course , fixed direction, or line of interest.

Utilising my academic teaching here. In the context of the sentence structure, you are using "bend/bow" as a NOUN, when in fact it implies an ACTION. i.e "every knee SHALL bow.." "shall" being a verb also, and a VERB being content word that denotes an action or a state, thus "bow" follows suit, or should, but it does not. As in actual FACT... BEND is the verb usage of BOW.

Tah tah.
