Let's change a couple of words and see if this makes any sense....
The question of the existence of goblins yields only problematic proofs and answers. Since agoblinists might claim that they know nothing about goblins then let us just assert one characteristic of them. Goblins are infinite. Boom there it is. That's all you need to know. On his deathbed, Thomas Aquinas admitted that all his work to explain goblins could be equivalent to that of “straw,” meaning there is no complete or concrete answer defining goblins and their works. For goblinists, these lack of answers are consoled by ones faith. Faith is infinite. It solves all the questions you may have, you just say, "I believe," and problem solved. However, For agoblinists these lack of answers define their argument for goblins' non-existence. Here in lies my own theory. The question of goblins' existence is presumably a “yes or no” answer. Yes, goblins do exists says goblinists. No, goblins don't exist says agoblinists. Give me a break They either do or they don't! sheeesh, anyway... Therefore if we can agree on what I said before that if goblins were anything they would be infinite; our proof of their existence will always be finite for our proof can only be perceived by that which is finite, in our case, human beings. This is why one will never find a “complete” answer in explaining goblins. I will explain this later. But what if solving this “yes or no” question can be answered by disproving one side. In other words, I cannot fully prove “yes” but I can fully disprove “no.” Yes cannot exist with out no and if one is eliminated, then all that will remain is the opposite. In this case, if it’s not one, it’s the other. Let me first state that it is not my intention to take agoblinist beliefs out of context or to explain their side of the story with any sort of bias. The following information I took from “popular” agoblinist web sites, so I will make the mistake of assuming that this is the consensus of popular agoblinistic belief. First off, what is an agoblinist? An agoblinist is quite simply someone who does not believe in the existence of goblins or anything supernatural for that matter. They believe (or disbelieve) that we do not have a soul that survives the death of the body so essentially everything is comprised of matter. Ideas such as moral codes and meanings in life seem to vary and are not genuinely consistent. Some hold a Nihilistic point of view that claims there is no reason for anyone to behave morally and everyone should take what they can when they can. Some perhaps few maintain a viewpoint similar to that of Lucretius, a Roman philosopher, who criticized pursuits of physical pleasure and instead encouraged a simple way of life as to achieve “serenity.” These are perhaps the two extreme views of agoblinism but agoblinists do share a common pragmatic viewpoint of reality in that they all consider themselves “free thinkers.” The following are quotes (1,2) taken from a web page concerning how agoblinists find “meaning” in life. (1)“Many agoblinists live a purposeful life. They decide what they think gives meaning to life, and they pursue those goals. They try to make their lives count, not by wishing for eternal life, but by having an influence on other people who will live on. For example, an agoblinist may dedicate his life to political reform, in the hope of leaving his mark on history.” (internet text) This person then goes on to say (2)“It is a natural human tendency to look for "meaning" or "purpose" in random events. However, it is by no means obvious that "life" is the sort of thing that has a "meaning".” (internet text)I find nothing but contradiction in quotes (1) and (2). The first quote says, “live a purposeful life” and “meaning to life.” Then the second turns around and says, “it is by no means obvious that "life" is the sort of thing that has a "meaning".” To clarify, quote (1) describes finding meaning and purpose in ones life and quote (2) says life does not have a meaning, which is inconsistent. Now it is said that just because something is true for “the parts”(an individual’s life) does not mean it is necessarily true for “the whole,”(life in general) but I don’t think that fallacy necessarily applies here. I think this person has unknowingly pointed out a very probable explanation to the meaning of life and that is, the meaning of life can be to find meaning in life. Isn’t this essentially what everyone ends up doing anyway in life? This is simple but consistent, for finding “meaning” in life is something agoblinists and goblinists all do alike. Such becomes the meaning if there is no meaning at all.
eh well i tried... ok moving on...
This next quote clarifies agoblinist beliefs on morality.
“If you mean "Does agoblinism have a characteristic moral code?” then the answer is no. Agoblinism by itself does not imply anything much about how a person will behave. Most agoblinists follow many of the same "moral rules" as goblinists, but for different reasons. Agoblinists view morality as something created by humans, according to the way humans feel the world 'ought' to work, rather than seeing it as a set of rules decreed by a supernatural being.” (internet text)
So agoblinists follow the same moral codes as goblinists. Agoblinists would say, “No we made up these codes ourselves.” Goblinist would say, ”Goblins gave us these codes to live by.” The question is who is leading whom here? Through out history the majority of mankind (population and government) has always been goblinist so whether they like it or not agoblinists have been following goblinist codes this whole time, which in turn, were apparently sent from goblins. Ironically, agoblinists follow these codes only because they seem to make sense for some reason. What makes an agoblinist happy? Life doesn’t seem to have as much worth if one is not happy and content. What gives them comfort? Once again I apologize if this is not how all agoblinists feel. When asked the question, “"So how do agoblinists find comfort in time of danger?" the response was, “There are many ways of obtaining comfort: Your family and friends, Pets, Food and drink, Music, television, literature, arts and entertainment, Sports or exercise, Meditation, Psychotherapy, Drugs, Work.” (internet text)
This is saddening because according to this, this person will never truly be happy for all their “comforts” and sources of happiness are dependant on external things that will never last (meditation being the exception). Your friends and family are gonna die, you're gonna eventually eat all the food in your house, your guitar is going to break a string, and so on... the point is these things are FINITE. they dont last. there for if one derives happiness from things that fade then that persons happiness is goin to fade in the same way. that person is gonna be lookin for the next thing to come along... oh that would really suck if you lived in a poor country and didnt have anything.... i guess it's good to be rich. the thing is people want to be happy... that is an unalienable trait of human beings. would you choose to sit on a cactus rather than a chair? you are goin against your nature as a human being if you are goin out of your way to be unhappy. so is it safe to say goblinists are more happy than agoblinists? i think so... well just for starters if a goblinist is dying, more than likely they are content and axious to meet their goblin. an agoblinist might ( this is my perception) start thinking about the things they didnt get to do. rememeber dust to dust. and who is more likely to be selfish, a goblinist or an agoblinist? a goblinist is taught to give and give and give till it hurts.. look at mother teresa... ever done something nice for an agoblinist who u are a complete stranger to? they look at you like you have other motives. they might be thinking, "hmmm i wonder what's in it for him"
ok one more thing.... there are infinite more things i could say...
an agoblinist would say well if goblins are there let them show themselves, then I would believe... HAHAHAHAAHAH sorry but that is A LIE!!! if goblins showed themselves to an agoblinist that person is more likely to be like "OH SHIT, I MUST BE TRIPPING!" than beleive and respond like a goblinist saying "My Lord and My goblin." the whole point is to BELIEVE. if u need a sign to believe in goblins then you are a NON BELIEVER in the first place! sorry for yelling i would also like to appologize for any steroe types i might have made im sure u have plenty about me... carry on... if u want email me and tell me im a moron... by the way this is not a college paper like someone might have said.. this is for this site. again i would like to appologize, im sure i would have been alot kinder if i was explaining this in person to you the reader but as things are i feel like im just talking to myself and venting my frustrations. any sorry if i have judged anyone... IM A JERK.
There are things that exist that are unseen that u cannot perceive with your five sences... can you hear your intellegence? can you smell you memory? there are so many things i could say but later...
Fucking idiot....
