Just wanted to share something I found in the editorial/opinion section of our paper. Don't worry...it's nothing you haven't read before:


     God is part of state

The separation of church and state is an atheist doctrine that has been repeated in the public forum so often that many people now believe it is actually stated in the U.S. Constitution.
     The First Amendment prohibits the establishment of a state-sponsored church. The Constitution has nothing more to say on the subject. It does not mandate the exclusion of religion from government.

It is obvious the founding fathers believed the opposite. That is why every president has been sworn in with his hand on the Bible, every session of Congress has opened with prayer and the Declaration of Independence refers to our "creator."
