In my opinion, evil exists more in the minds of others rather than in one's own mind. You more likely to see people calling others "evil" rather than one referring to one's self as evil.

In my experience, people do not actively try to be evil, they just end up that way in the eyes of others. Even people who refer to themselves as evil often do so because of what others have told them.
Now evil can, and often is, characterized as taking pleasure in the pain and suffering of others. If you give evil that definition, then I suppose it becomes more of a hobby, as it is enjoyed.
Those are just my thoughts on the subject. May I ask why you decided to ask?
