I have to assume there are a larger number of them in captivity than in the wild. Now that they're being caught on photograph in the wild again, estimates have gone up from...what, maybe extinct, maybe fifty, to about 200 in the wild. And I know that the preferred crossbreeding of Siamese and whatever other crocodile -- the one that gives them a skin similar to the siamese -- is sterile. They want to use those for skins, though, so that's pretty intentional.
