I believe that Days Later was the only movie in the past two years I have voluntarily gone out to see. It was the only movie that didn't really have anything involved in the production that I absolutely despised.
1) It looked like it was made on a small budget. Good, that means it would have to rely more on plot and believability, rather than flashy effects (I can get those from Everquest, thank you very much).
2) As far as I could tell, there were no big stars in it, or at least big enough that I could recognize them off hand. Once again, good, it will rely on the above necessities, rather than on its ability to display a well known name in really big letters in the ads.
3) It's British. I, for the most part, cannot stand US films (aside from MST3K, but that's almost Canadian). Hell, I can't stand a majority of americans, and I'm half-american myself.
I'd recommend the film to anyone who's sick of the typical 'horror' crap that's out there (Jeepers, the Ring knew what you did in last summer's urban legend).
