I'm still working on the new version of the site. Which will be helpful, since the current version requires me to alter a flashfile to add new bits to main.html, which is way too much work. That's one of the things I hope to have working by the end of the month.
Something else I'm working on, with the same deadline, is a video I've been trying to do since...well, in a very real way, since before gremlin.net even began, back in 1996. Unfortunately, it was never practical back then. Even a 4GHz Amiga wasn't letting me do what I wanted to do in any useful amount of time.
Now that I've got enough 3GHz machines all working together, it's a possibility after all. So, here are a few, like, spoilers....
Space: the final frontier...and the easiest thing to render
The UFO is back.
For the attack.
Welcome to Earth.
This is the city....
The DeLorean is back, too.
And seriously angering my processors.
This is as good a place to park as any....
Of course, there's more to this thing, but that's still being rendered. Once it's done, I'll work on compressing it down to something uploadable but watchable--right now, I've got it smashed down to about fifty megs, with some splotchiness I'm not thrilled about. It's a little over four minutes long altogether. I might be able to get that smashed into something workable, once it's all compiled and ready to go. I guess we'll find out.
