Since I haven't got quite enough news to rush off and update main.html with this, I'll just post it here, where everyone ends up anyway.
     Somewhere in the course of sitting at Bennigans for several hours, staring wantingly at my nice new copies of Resident Evil: Outbreak and the New and Improved and Commentaried and Probably Other Stuffed Dawn of the Dead DV--neither of which do more than be shiny at you in a restaurant, regrettably enough--we got to talking about the potential site design for SiteoftheLivingDead.com again. And I think we've got a basic functionality worked out, if not all the aethetics.
     So, discussing aesthetics, Hunter suggested sketching or LightWaving a sort of new version of the 'Brains! Brains! Brains!' zombie from Return of the Living Dead for a sort of mascot. Which might actually be a neat idea. So, above is a quick prototype of what I might either draw more slowly and completely, or just build and render, depending on how I do the rest of the site.
     Of course, my idea for a mascot was a skull with eyeballs and a YoungRepublican haircut; but I think I like this guy better. Especially, now that I think about it, since the other mascot I drew up was a dead ringer for the ?alien at the end of They Live. Scaryish, but arguably the wrong genre....
