Mayday
Yesterday was Mayday. Which is concurrently a sort of nadaholiday which sorta occurs on May the first, and also a sort of call for help: help--we're totally fucked here--send help...and maybe something to eat....
Which seems kinda appropriate.
There's the obvious: the Duhmerican Governmendicants failed to get Hunter's $87,000 to her again. They somehow managed to get her a hundred bucks, we think; that's hard to say, really, since she's not quite able to cash the cheque anywhere in Denver.
The latest reason for that comes from our favourite regional retard, Wild Bill. We don't know what Wild Bill's real name is. We doubt that Wild Bill knows what Wild Bill's real name is. We hope that Wild Bill's real name isn't Wild Bill, since that would make him even sillier than he is now.
Wild Bill is the 'droid at the Customer Service counter at King Stoopids where Hunter usually gets her monthly treasury cheque cashed. It didn't work out this time because Wild Bill decided that Hunter wasn't old enough to be getting a treasury cheque, since those are only given to people who are retired.
Wild Bill is--in case I haven't mentioned this yet--an idiot.
One of these months, I'm going to film the little 'tard and upload him so you can see him. He's beyond my ability to describe an idiot. And I can describe some pretty idiotic things.
Wild Bill, of course, should not be confused with the moron sitting behind me. This is one of those people having an identity crisis. He's a white guy who thinks he's black; he's a poor guy who thinks he's rich; he's a dumb guy who thinks he's smart; he's a loud guy who thinks he's interesting. He's also going to slam his elbow into my back exactly once more during his life. I can't say when--or even where; just that the next time will be his last.
Interesting: I hit Enter, and he magically shut up and left. He even took his elbow with him. I should subliminally threaten people more often....
Anyway: while we were busy getting Wild Bill to suck at us, we managed to completely not get the new issue of the National Prevaricator uploaded. Or finished. Or, really, written.
This may actually be a bimonthly thing. With everything else going on, there's really not a lot of time to play with it.
More good news: I was refining CGHunter a bit, and Poser4 puked, for a change. Somehow, it managed to start saving the file before it fully died. So it ultimately managed to corrupt the damned thing. So it's effectively gone now.
Which gives me yet another thing to rebuild. Joy.
On the subject: I have a really neat suggestion for NewTek. Since this seems to have been overlooked in LightWave7--object oriented though it's become--could we maybe have the option of setting up the skelegons to affect designated sufaces? I know it's asking a lot, but...trying to get bones to affect tiny regions, without affecting other reasons, while affecting the whole region--in other words, getting bones to work at all--wastes a lot of time and generally doesn't work very well. All I want is something as easy to manoeuvre as Poser4 with the look of LightWave. Without installing WindozeXPro and running SoftImage, I mean.
Ugh. Now my head is starting to hurt. I should go take a nap, or something.
More later....
