What's New by Hunter
I'm still here too....
I haven't died yet. So there. Neener.
Actually, I've been working on a lot of stuff. Mostly, beating American Mcgee's Alice in Wonderland, and now replaying Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. But I have managed to get a few things done. And that's why I'm writing one of these.
But first -- the reason why I'm not writing one of these a few days sooner.
I had to reformat my computer again. I had a couple of bad sectors on my primary drive [unlike what happened last time, which was a bad boot sector]. Thanks again, chainsaw; I think we both deserve a Microsoft A+ Certifiation. Unless they have an ExtremeTechSupport badge, or something, for those of us who tend to answer the questions with 'place computer under rear wheel of SUV'....
Anyway....

Of course, the ability to rebuild a HewlettPackard using little more than bread ties, duct tape, and whatever was left over in the fridge from the last time Joe and Doug didn't finish the 'cheese surprise' they hadn't finished the time before that, or the time before that, either, during the weekly GURPS game [don't ask me; it's not my fault], does not necessarily qualify the user, or the computer, or even the vestigial mutated remains of the 'cheese surprise' to get online through DirecTelocity at anything as fast as AOHell dialup speeds on a Tuesday night. For that, I'm killing time while the connexion to the server slowly stabilises...unless it dies altogether from a timeout again first.
These people truly fucking suck.

Oh yeah: something I forgot to mention yesterday is that I made a couple of small changes to damnitology.com, back when I was still able to upload things at more than 50bps for fifty bucks a month.
The next step will be to replace the .pdf file with something a bit more stable, since it seems to be puking for some people.
Watch for that if I ever get online again....

After months of hard work and research, I've finally got enough of the Smoking Section thrown together to actually put online. It's a very rough, very cut down version of what it will [hopefully] turn into. Actually, I have no idea what it's going to look like when it's finished. Right now, it's just basic facts. A lot of reading. No pretty, extraneous fluff. Just reading.
I realise that turns a lot of people off, but hey, what the fuck, I'm sure they don't want to hear about some of this stuff. They're probably antismokers.
Anyway, it's at truth.grem.tv, in case you're interested in doing a lot of reading, or in case you want to see what I still need, and are willing to help out, or know where I might find a few things -- like World War II Nazi Anti-Smoking propaganda....
Or in case you're interested in fucking with and submitting a few antismoking ads, or whatever. Get in touch with me; you know where to find me.

Yay: we're back online. And just in time to upload the new index.html.
I can't wait for DirecTelocity to call me to complain. I should start practising my deepwoods Iraqi accent and memorising phrases like please sir to restart your computer please now for that may to be the problem it is; there is not a thing here please to make parody site there on your system; might I recommend also you to reformat your blender please.
These people really annoy me.

Beyond that, I got another new subsite online: The Daily Paranoid Delusion. Most of this stuff is far too long, or far too...I don't know. Just far too something for the National Prevaricator. And since I've got over a gigabyte of this stuff, I figured I might as well create a subsite out of it. Make more reading on the 'net for the illiterates. I'll try to update that as daily as possible. Occasionally, things go wrong -- like my computer dying -- and I can't get to it.
As far as The Lab goes...I'm not sure what's going to happen with that. I've got a lot of stuff I have to do before I can get even part of it online -- and I'd really like to get it online. Just, with Baron shipping off and all, I'm not sure how much I can do. I need certain things done. I basically need people who are really good at photoshopping stuff. Weird stuff. Sorta like SomethingAwful.com's PhotoshopPhriday thing, but, well, iunno. I also need some stuff done for some parody sites. If anyone out there has any Photoshop ability, lemme know. I also probably need some stuff built, but I'm probably going to have to beg Gremlin to do that.
I'll keep working on what I can, though. The Serial Killer Database I'm doing probably won't be an actual database, and it probably won't be online until sometime after the HGD is online. It's a bit of a huge project....
That's it for now....
