Name That Iguana
Yup: I took a few days off again. But that's good news, since I spent those few days working behind the scenes on things. Here are a few examples....

First and foremost, of course, is that I bought a new iguana. Partly because Renfield is a bit of a dickmunch. Not literally. Literally, he just bites people's fingers and refuses to let go.
So I've got this new iguana. She's much nicer. I've had her for a week, and I still haven't worked out what to name her.
So. Since it's that time of millennium and all, maybe we can have a contest. Whoever comes up with the best name for this thing gets a goody. You know where the board is....
In other news, there are a few things going on.
I picked up [and don't ask me why this wasn't taken] GoTards.com. It began as a sort of a joke--that it would be cool if, say, GoTards.com were actually available; then we could interlink it with GodHatesBrains.com and get everything to make sense in the end. Except that, in the end, it turned out to be available after all. So I bought it. Now I just have to develop it into something worth advertising.
So that should be ready any decade now....
Did I mention that I got a new camera? It's neat. This Sony 717 thingy. That's what Hunter used to get the shot of the new iguana there. A DigiCam which actually records twenty minutes of fullmotion .mpeg. And, more importantly, which films in infrared. So, wherever my five-year-old Olympus is, it can stay there. I can actually get decent [if somewhat colourless] shots in ZeroLux with this thing. Oh, and at 800speed. Much nice.
I was also looking into new DVCs, but...the one I want is about a hundred thousand bucks. Those new 1920*1080 HDCs. I'll get one after the new book comes out.
And, of course, also in the snap to your right is one of the new shirts. I've been putting a bit of time into developing the merch at CafePress.com/wastedinc this week. So that's doing pretty well now. Official figures aside, a lot of people seem to be into antitheistic swag this Giftmas Season....
I've got a potential gig coming up with a freelance model photographer once we work out the money issue. If that happens to happen, I'll probably get a few chicks to wear some of this stuff to give you a better idea what it looks like. Otherwise, it's pretty much me and the iguana...which might not be the best product placement....
What else is new....
Oh, of course: potential stuff currently in the works behind the scenes which may or may not ever happen. How could I overlook that portion of our show....
There is, of course, a reason why ninety percent of the things I plan never happen. And the reason is that ninety percent of the things I plan require the minimal efforts of people who aren't me. If something happens, it's usually a product of Me, Myself, and I. And, speaking for Myself, I have trouble getting Me to do anything. So you can guess how easy it is to get other people involved.
Anyway: one thing we're planning toward--still--is the comic gig. And that totally relies on outsourcing the artwork, because Me, Myself, and I are not much for drawing anymore. I used to be okay at it; I don't really remember how I used to do that. Also: I really haven't got time for it these days. So I've got a guy who can do the artwork. He's apparently off working out how to scan it in and ink it once it's done.
But: presuming all that gets done, we'll definitely be able to do the comic online, and, if things work out correctly, we'll have a physical comic book too. Or instead. Or something.
I should know more about that by the end of the month.
I've been playing with LightWave a bit lately. Partly to test out the new laptop. If you're interested, and have a decent connexion, there's AttackRun, which is kinda complex, and StarDestroyer.Falcon which is...you'll see. Although: you'll only see it if you've got DivX installed; so go grab that first. Don't worry: it's free. It's just too scary to be preinstalled on computers, since it's the same codec used to smash DVDs into six hundred megabytes on WinMX.
Something else we're kinda working on is SiteoftheLivingDead.com. None of it is linked yet, but Greenback is subjecting himself to every zombie film available on DVD [sadly, a lot of them; more sadly, Night of the Comet isn't one of them] and reviewing them. It's on my To Do by Ragnarok List: I'll have them linked from the main site sometime soonish.
Meanwhile, feel free to write your own reviews of zombiefilms if you like. Just EMail them to me.
Which reminds me: someone was asking how you become a reporter for the National Prevaricator. Pretty much the same way. Write an article, include whatever images you have for it, and EMail it to editor@NationalPrevaricator.com. Which, of course, is me. Which means that, if your article measures up to the, um...standards of the Prevaricator, it'll appear in the next update...which could be a while from now, with everything else I have to do here.
Unless I'm overlooking something--and I probably am--that's about it for the news.
More later....
