Day 2192

5th January 2003

Just so there's a bit of news regarding gremlin.net, I fixed a couple of little problems. Like the $subject thing in the messageboard. The title of each post actually shows up in black now; I missed that one when I changed the Perl to use the V13 JavaScript the other day.
And, similarly, a few of the subsites had no titles outside the <TITLE> tags and the URLs. Those are fixed too. Which means that--I think--I can stop dicking with the site for a while.
Not that I'm completely out of sites with which to dick....
Construction continues on HellhoundRecords.com. There's not really much else to say about that yet--except that it's not fully done yet. I'm hoping to have it done this week.
Websites aside, I was apparently the only guy in Denver who had never heard of ColdMoon before. I keep running into people who have heard, through word on the street, that I'm doing their website now. These guys have a hell of a following. Which makes sense: they do sound pretty good. For more on that, hit the site and click on the Music link to download whatever you like from mp3.com. Just realise that it sounds a lottle better on the CD than smashed into RealShit format.
Meanwhile: added to the list of OnServer links to the left is BEASUR.com.
Obviously, this one's under construction. Although we're getting close to opening it up. It's this sort of venture I've got going with ColdMoon's photographer.
I'll leave it at that until we're ready to launch. But it should be a pretty good timewaster site once it's done.
I also picked up DeityFree.com. I haven't done anything with it yet. Although I do have a plan for it. Well...two plans. I'll pick one of them and implement it sometime after I get everything else done.
Deadache progresses a little. I think I've finally got a voice for the main character now. There are still a couple of openings for other main characters, as well as whatever we can think up for more incidental people. But this was the one I was most concerned about, and, if everything works out, I've got the voice I'd had in mind from the beginning.
Beyond that, I'm still building sets and things for the show. That's the longest part of the process. Comparatively speaking, animating and rendering the final product takes almost no time at all.

Can you spot the three-dimensional crazychick in this image?
On a related note, I finally got round to finding the new cinema last night. That's a long story [depending on how new you are to gremlin.net, it could go back two or three years]. Essentially, I used to do the website for these people. Then I quit. Then they got a new website. Then the new website quit. Then they got a newer new website, but no one really knew about that, so I've had people EMailing me for a couple of months asking where the site was these days, since it was at neither place they'd expected to find it.
For simplicity--belatedly--I've gone ahead and set up cei.grem.tv to hit DenverRHPS.com--which is the newest new site. And no, I'm not the one coding DenverRHPS.com. I can't stand StyleSheets.
Anyway: for those wondering [Rick will be one of those], I'll probably stop in there every once in a while. I suppose it's something to do--particularly when I'm not in the mood to do anything of actual importance.
The impressive part, to me, is that anyone's able to find the new cinema. Someone built this place in the middle of Downtown Denver. Which, for those who have ever seen Downtown Denver [or are reading this on a wireless laptop connexion from inside Downtown Denver, while still trying to find a way the hell back out of Downtown Denver], you can probably understand why it's so odd that something like 140 people are seeing this film every Saturday at midnight. I'm pretty sure that the entire staff of the Tivoli are part of the Federal Witness Protection Programme.
In case you want to see the show and need easy directions to the cinema, just turn north off of Colfax onto Seventh, hang a left at the Holy Grail, a right at the Loch Ness Monster, and pull into the carpark at the corner of Hoffa and Silkwood. Easy.

Spam of the Day

I don't know how 'INCREDIBLE' a '1 DAY FREE TRIAL' might be; but it is interesting to note that they've got the offspring of the napster.com logo and the big, mean, horned, ramming thingy from Mario64 for a mascot....

FREE USERNAME AND PASSWORD TO THE BEST ADULT SITES ON THE NET

Now...are these FREE USERNAME AND PASSWORDS only good for a single day, too? What's the point?

NAKED DWARF TOSSING MIDGETS MIDGETS MIDGETS

Strangely, this is the first truly interesting thing I've seen in this spam. And we know it's important, because you don't CapsLock 'MIDGETS' three times in a row unless you're truly serious. About, you know...something.

BANGED HARD BIATCHES RIPPED WIDE OPEN.......FUNNY BLOOPER CLIPS

Am I the only one developing some really weird mental images of a 'BIATCH' [I'm not even sure what that is; I think, possibly, one of Azazael's college roommates; but I can't be sure] becoming 'RIPPED WIDE OPEN', but, in addition to this normal and preplanned activity, there are some related 'FUNNY BLOOPER CLIPS'? How in the living hell does that happen?

Okay; that's enough. This spam is getting silly beyond the need to point things out now....
More Later....
