I knew of all of those references, and it would help to note that
1. The bible is not a scientific textbook. There are some parts which are scientifically accurate, but there are also some parts which are figurative.
2. I have made reference to the four corners before. The earth having four corners is most likely meant as a language of appearance in reference to the four poles.
3. In the Daniel references, this is a dream by a King. This king may not know that the world is round and thus, his dream might not portray the world as round.
4. The matthew reference, maybe he found Mount Olympus and Zeus let him borrow the pool to show him the world, or perhaps it was meant to be another a statement of appearance. You have to remember that in this time period, paper was not in vast quantities, so the stories were passed verbally. Since knowledge was so rare, the stories told were told to maintain meaning, or the lesson.
5. Joshua keeping the sun still, maybe back then they believed the sun was orbiting the earth. Lets say I have a problem in my car. I don't really know what's wrong with it, but it shakes. When I take my car into the mechanic, i ask him to stop it from shaking. This is what Joshua did, he only knew the symptom...the sun appeared to move in the sky. He asked God to keep it from moving.
7. 1 Chronicles says that the earth will not be moved. Is this refering to it's geocentric position? Is it referring to something else? I don't believe that these men were concerned with the earth's geocentricity. Therefore, since these men weren't scientists, it would probably be referring to something else. What else? I couldn't tell ya, ask a Bible scholar.
8. The Psalms passage is a passage written by David praising God, not by God informing man. Again this would be language of appearance.
It helps if you read a book of fiction like a book of fiction, a book of science like a book of science, a book of poetry like a book of poetry, a book of history like a book of history, and the word of God like the word of God.
