Let me start over. I think I can see what you're saying. This being would be neither matter nor energy. Matter and energy would not be eternal. Yes, nothing is eternal...as eternal as nothing can be???? Let me try to clarify this...If you had a portion of space that truly contained nothing...this portion is still something...space. Nothing is Nothing. If you have no gas in your car...you can't drive because there's no fuel. Nothing is not a 3 dimensional object containing no matter. Nothing is a 0 dimensional object containing nothing. It's not even a point. So back before time and creation...this entity would have had to create the dimensions too. what is finally defined through the omnipotence of this entity is that he sustains matter, energy. The point of there being a god is that god is self sustaining and nothing else is.

If this doesn't make sense to you, i'll try to readdress it after some sleep.
