It seems we were a both a bit jaded, actually. I actually happen to be a bit of an archaeology buff, and of course, that entails bible study among other things. Where my personal beliefs lay, I think I can sum them up by saying that I've studied, or at least read up on, far too many deities to accept any one of them as real; it puts me in the "don't believe it till I see it" category by default, but from a slightly different point of view. Anyway, what it boils down to is that I would be fine with this conversation going in a more biblical direction; the bible is, in my opinion, a fascinating account of several different cultures, ranging from the Hebrew to the Romans to the English, although I can't honestly say I take very much of it at face value. However, I would be willing to say that Yhvh has a possibility of existing, just as much as Ahmen-Ra or Quezocoatl has a possibility of existing. What distinguishes the christian and jewish Yhvh is it's own set of sacred texts, compiled by King James into the bible, and therefore any debate on Yhvh would have to include this book. Just be aware that I'm not going to be immediatly willing to take something in the Bible at face value more readily than, say, something from the Scrolls of Anni.

Anyway, as far as research goes, I would start in Revelations chapter 19, as it is the only book in the bible that refers to god as either omnipotent or omniscient.
