I guess I wasn't meaning to accuse Canada specifically of being a better place than Duhmerica is. It's just the fastest way out of the country without subjecting oneself to Mexico.
Regarding inalienable rights...I'd be in favour of losing those, assuming we could abolish the laws making them necessary at the same time. That's what I want: a country in which morons are free to kill themselves off doing exactly the things the laws are in place to prevent.
I just find something wrong with hiring these people--cops to presidents--to abuse the power they get, and the people who pay them. Particularly when, according to the constitution [oh, that old thing] taxes can only be levied on imported goods in the first place.
I'd probably like this country a lot if it weren't guilty of false advertising. Instead, I live in a nation of the people, by the people, for the people, in which only a few people get to hide behind governmental immunity and break the laws they're hired to enforce.
If only England were warm....
