Whenever I read a movie review, positive or negative, I expect one thing. That's all. Objectivity. I don't want to read what a nintendo fanboy thinks of some remake of pong which just happens to have mario characters or something; likewise, I don't really care what a former drama queen thinks of the Rocky Horror cast (s)he was kicked out of. So, when I read this, I almost vomited. Yo, check it out, yall. Don't I just sound with it, hip, and in with today's rag-a-tag ruffians and teenagers? Yes, one could be inclined to say I was straight out dope, if they weren't whack, or at least possessed a minimal degree of whackiness. I haven't seen 8-mile yet (although, I have seen Purple Rain, so I can sort of say I've seen 8-mile). But, if this is the kind of quality review I can expect from the moviegoing public, I don't want to see it now.
