I could write an encyclopaedia about all the reasons my teachers were useless, beginning with the preschool teacher who worked out that, if I could read books to the class, she didn't really have to be there.
I gave up when I was fifteen. I aced the GED one day and started college the next. And college isn't nearly as difficult as high school--ironically for the same reasons: the teachers stay out or your damned way.
Not that I'm a big fan of education at all. If you want to know something, look it up; if you can remember what you looked up, you get to advance to the Bonus Round: Survival of the Fittest.
I tried being a professional student. Now I just write about morons.
