The larger issue with Deadache involves a few people who might be doing voices for it. Which is anyone's guess until or unless it happens. It's a mess. I kinda want to know who and what a character will sound like before getting too deep into its dialogue, but people are in no hurry to commit to something like this until the script is ready to record. So I'm backing away from it and working on a novel instead, since I don't have to worry as much about the people I have in mind when I create a character if there's no immediate chance of those people ever being the character.
About the novel: some questions are good. I'll definitely be bouncing it off a few biologists and 'zombie experts' before it's released; based on a book of several hundred zombie films from White Zombie through Resident Evil, I've only seen about half of them so far. Knowing what's already out there is the easiest way to avoid duplicating anything.
Finding a receipt for the laptop should be easy enough. If nothing else, RadioShack will still have it on file somewhere. Get hold of a manager and tell him you'd really like to stop in to buy another one, but you need the first receipt to get the insurance company to pay for it; that usually gets some attention. On the bright side, ninety percent of the time wasted on doing anything on a computer is usually figuring out a way to get it to work; so starting over wouldn't really take that long.
I assume that you're getting a round trip ticket this time. And having it surgically implanted somewhere. The navy are nearly bright enough to be dangerous when confronted by information they don't understand. I'm just waiting for them to admit that they'd have found Hussein several years ago, if he hadn't bought a number of PSOnes to build navybusting supercomputers.
