Incubation time? (Re: Pandemic)

     Perhaps I missed the technical discussion in an earlier post about the full 'zombie' conversion, but I was just curious about the implied incubation times of the virus/whatever. Since the guy was attacked in New Zealand, and the full conversion occured about fifteen minutes outside Denver, I'd assume that it would take about a day or so for the infection to fully take over the body. On the other hand, the flight attendent was itching and sweating about 5/10 minutes after she was bit. So I was just wondering, does the lifetime of the infection differ from person to person, or is there a full day or two of itching and sweating before they become 'zombified'?

Other than that, now you've got me wanting to read the rest of the unwritten book. Thanks.
