Hunter's laptop is actually a floor model, too. Nothing was wrong with it at the time [I actually bought it wth part of the money I got back from the broken FX210] though it's not doing so well at this point. I went ahead and used another part of the money I got back to get another extended warranty, which is still good for a while. One of these days, I'll have to take the thing in and trade it again, since the more recent problems seem to be a burned out AMD laptop processor [not that such a CPU technically exists, which is the real problem].
At least you've tested one of their promises: that you can return a laptop within a few days if something's not right. I suppose you could just keep doing that until things work out. Although, if it were me, I'd get someone to go on record, in writing, stating that the next laptop is 'new', as in 'devoid of prior owners and registrants'. Then, if this happens yet again, you can trade in your impending fraud case on a really good laptop. They're always happy to make deals like those.
I think that's part of the reason I got my money back so effortlessly. When they sent the FX210 off to 'Sony' to have it fixed, it got FedExed back to me with REPAIRED BY BESTBUY stickers all over it. Ten seconds after I showed that to the manager of CircuitCity, I had a creditcard with three thousand bucks to spend on anything in the store.
