As for the Limestone Cowboy, I'm still searching for anything credible on this thing. But the link has an image of what looks like a fifty-year-old boot containing a lump of Plaster of Paris.
Apparently, the 'museum' in Glan Rose is a tourist trap. I'm not sure if the owners of this boot allow real scientists to examine and test the thing at all.
