I have not followed this one closely in recent days. I am not a Bush hater, and generically supported the war, and I initially dismissed these claims as another ridiculous leftist attempt to score points in any way possible.      - Berg was obviously dead before decapitation?

     -His death could have been caused by anyone, including Americans?

-Who is deemed most likely to have killed him, by conspiracy folks?

-That American agents coming across Berg dead, arranged for the fake beheading for political purposes?

-Americans kidnapped and killed him outright, for political reasons?

     In short, what are the possible scenarios, and what are the really PLAUSIBLE ones? I don’t know enough to judge yet, but I’m not a Bush-hater who has sat home dreaming of something like this to charge him with. If the toppleRummy site has any validity to it, there are many holes in the video, though some of those holes are bullshit. If one accepts the basics of the conspiracy theorists in a general way, we may assume the Berg was dead prior to decapitation.

Not knowing more than that (if we indeed know it at all), I would assume that it was not Americans that staged the fake killing. Why? We really don’t do that kind of shit, and the Arabs certainly do, historically speaking. Don’t forget we’re talking about a group of folks who (to take one glaring example) broadcast to their own citizens during each of the Israeli wars that they were advancing with great fervor while they were actually getting the shit kicked out of them. During the six-day war in 1967, their miraculous and fictional advances were suddenly reversed on their home radio stations owing to sudden American troops fighting for Israel.
