Well, I saw Episode 2 today. I was told that crowds were unbearable, so I got to the theatre 20 minutes before it opened just to make sure I got a ticket.

I got there and there was nobody there. Except for the employees, who were readying for opening.

Dammit.

So I buy a ticket and get in on the first showing of the day. The theatre only filled up to a quarter of its full capacity. I had gotten there early in the morning for nothing.

Dammit.

And now, my review of the movie. First, the bad.

The love story portions of the film are atrocious. The acting isn't really bad, but the dialogue is horrible. This was easily overlooked, because it only took up a fairly small chunk of the movie.

Now, the good.

The rest of the movie is truly breathtaking. Great visuals and great sound effects. Ewan MacGregor has matured into Alec Guiness very nicely. Temuera Morrison is awesome as Jango Fett, and the kid who plays Boba Fett would beat Jake Lloyd in a battle of talent any day of the week. Christopher Lee is downright sinister as Count Dooku/Darth Tyranus. The last 45 minutes are everything they should be and it was very gratifying to see yoda get jiggy with a lightsaber for the first time. Overall I give the film a very solid 4 out of 5 stars. The last half hour more than makes up for the cheesy romance subplot.
